Lawn care help

Apart from general basic lawn care techniques and tasks, there are other lawn care help products and techniques. Some of the common lawn care help techniques are discussed below. Lawn care help #1 - Aerate the lawn

The lawn is aerated by driving in a fork or other spiked instrument at intervals into the lawn so as to relieve compaction. Drainage is improved and new growth is stimulated. Aerate the lawn at least once a year if the ground is badly compacted and moss is present. It should be sufficient to aerate the lawn once every 3 years if a hollow tine fork is used for spiking.

Lawn care help #2 - top dress the lawn

Top dressing a lawn is the application of a bulky mixture, usually made up of peat, loam and sand. This dressing is good for lawn care help and should be applied every autumn. It is an essential technique for lawn care help if you want a really first rate lawn.
