Lawn care

Lawn care involve many tasks and lawn care techniques. The immediate effect of lawn care involves lawn care tasks such as mowing the lawn, watering the lawn, feeding the lawn and weeding the lawn. Lawn care is done to the lawn looking attractive, but there is also a vital long term effect of lawn care.

Lawn care basics - the basic steps of lawn care

Lawn care basics #1 - mow your lawn regularly

The most essential part of lawn care is correct lawn mowing. This means beginning lawn mowing and ending lawn mowing at the proper time with the lawn mower blades set at the correct height. There is no right height of lawn mower blades for all lawns. This correct height of lawn mower blade will depend on the type of lawn and the time of the year you are doing lawn care. The lawn mower blade must be sharp and properly set.

Lawn care basics #2 - water your lawn before the grass turns brown

Watering the lawn is essential to lawn care. The first effect of drought in lawns is a loss of springiness and a general dullness of the turf. Look for these lawn signs after about 7 days of dry weather in summer or 10 days in spring.  Then water the lawn copiously. Note that a light lawn sprinkling everyday can do more harm to the lawn than good.
