Irrigation system
Should you do irrigation yourself, or hire a professional to perform your lawn irrigation?
Do-it-yourself (DIY) irrigation is becoming more and more feasible. Installing an irrigation system is well within the reach of a capable homeowner who plans thoroughly and works carefully. But digging trenches, installing piping, making connections, and carrying out verifications constitute a lengthly process of the irrigation system. You will need several weekends, depending on the size of your yard, to get the irrigation system up and running.
First, you'll need some drip irrigation supplies & irrigation equipment but now you can rent all of the equipment needed for an irrigation system from modern hardware stores. Doing the job yourself usually costs about two-thirds to one-half as much as having the irrigation system done professionally.
However, try to keep in mind that a poorly intalled irrigation system could require extensive revisions diminishing that cost savings over a short period of time. Unless your property is small, or you really know what you're doing, you may want to hire a professional to do the irrigation system work for you, at least during certain steps in the irrigation system process.
